General Practitioner Wanted at Norrtälje Norra Health Center

Do you want to work as a general practitioner alongside experienced colleagues, with good teamwork and a focus on quality? Due to upcoming retirements, we are now looking for a specialist in general medicine who wants to help develop the business with us!

About the Position

We are looking for a specialist in general medicine for a full-time position at our well-functioning health center.

You will work broadly within primary care and collaborate with our nurses who have clinics in asthma/COPD, diabetes, heart failure, and elderly care.

We offer a stimulating work environment with the opportunity to contribute to the development of the business. Documentation is done in Take Care. The schedule is flexible, and there is the possibility of remote work based on the needs of the business.

Start date is according to agreement.

Your Responsibilities Include:

• Clinic work at the health center, which includes annual check-ups, investigations, minor surgical procedures, gynecology, eye and ear diseases, and much more.
• Supervision of residents, interns, and students.
• Work at our drop-in clinic for minor acute conditions.
• Teamwork with nursing assistants and nurses.
• Participate in rounds with the psychosocial team and rehabilitation coordinator.
• Ongoing quality work.
• Digital healthcare meetings.

About You

For this position, you need to:

• Be a specialist in general medicine.
• Have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form.

It is an advantage if you also have:

• Previous experience working in primary care.
• Experience with the Take Care documentation system.

You are responsible, self-driven, and structured, with the ability to make independent medical decisions and prioritize correctly when the situation requires it. Collaboration is important to you, and you thrive both in teamwork and when working independently and taking your own initiatives. You show empathy and have a good attitude towards patients, relatives, and colleagues, as well as a genuine interest in general medicine and the broad mission of primary care.

Your curiosity and desire to develop are valuable in a primary care setting that is constantly changing and thus continuously improving through new methods and digital solutions. You are flexible and have good problem-solving skills, which makes it easy for you to handle changes and unexpected situations. Your strong communication skills in both spoken and written form also contribute to safe, accurate, and effective care.

About Us

Norrtälje Norra Health Center, located in historic premises at the old hospital with proximity to good transport links and the city center, is Norrtälje's largest health center with approximately 17,500 registered patients and around 40 employees. The medical team, consisting of 16 doctors, both residents and general practitioners, is stable and experienced as many in the team have stayed with us for many years. You will become part of a very pleasant and competent workgroup with an open climate and close collaboration.

In addition to scheduled clinic work, we also offer a drop-in clinic for minor acute issues, which is appreciated by both patients and staff. The operation is broad and well-developed, including asthma/COPD clinics, diabetes clinics, wound clinics, and elderly care. We work in teams and have regular rehabilitation rounds together with our psychosocial team and rehabilitation coordinator.
